An Innovation in Wind Power Electrical Generating Systems

This designed prototype system and its soon to be developed larger models are an innovative advancement in the state of the art providing advantages of a compact and attractively designed rotor with very little perceptible noise.

Initially developed as a variation for submarine propellers to eradicate and minimize the formation of vortices or bubbles which upon bursting(cavitation) produce a certain noise signature which can be tracked by sonar. The advantage of this spiral configuration of the propellers is that due to attachment at both ends they produce far less noise than the common propeller. Other benefits include ability to function in very high winds due to the inherent structural attachment of propellers at two points.

In a growing market for renewable sources of energy, wind energy has become more and more feasible due to advancements in composites and other technology. Therefore starting from a domestic market the potential for such innovative designs is simply awesome.

The System already Design is patented in Germany (patents pending in the US and internationally ).

Conceptual Design

Currently a variety of conceptual designs were developed by the company using CATIAV5. These were then tested for comparison using Fluent CFD.

The idea is to design and construct three scaled down working prototypes. These would then be wind tunnel tested for the final design selection. The construction would include use of CFRP and Fibre Glass.
